About Think Unlimited

Think Unlimited is a dynamic, fast-growing nonprofit registered in the U.S. and based in Amman, Jordan. We envision a rising generation of Arab youth equipped and empowered to become proactive citizens, social innovators, and problem-solvers in their communities, their nations, and the world. We provide transformative learning experiences that build achievement motivation, creativity, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship skills, and encourage young people to apply those skills through social innovation.

Our flagship program, called “Solutionaries,” is an evidence-based curriculum designed specifically for Arab youth. The first of its kind in the Middle East, the Solutionaries program brings issue-centered experiential learning to classrooms where rote memorization is the norm.

We partner with Jordanian Universities to offer Solutionaries as a two-semester, credit-bearing course. We also work to build an innovation ecosystem on campuses to support students as they develop and implement projects and initiatives. We also recruit Arab youth from all over the world and bring them to Jordan for a year of service as Solutionaries facilitators. We're placing youth on the front lines of education reform in the Arab world with this unique and powerful peer-to-peer model.

Think Unlimited is a Draper Richards Kaplan grantee, and a member of the Clinton Global Initiative. Our work has been featured by the New York Times, as well as on the Harvard Business Review Blog, the World Economic Forum Blog, and the FastCompany CoExist Blog.

Position Description

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly-skilled individual to join us as our Solutionaries Program Coordinator.  Under the direction of our Solutionaries Program Director, the Program Coordinator will take charge of all of the logistics and support for a team of eight facilitators, working in four different universities.  The Program Coordinator will also head up our alumni relations, interfacing often with students who have completed our course.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Interfacing with the teaching staff daily and weekly to support implementation of the course
  • Interfacing with university administrators to manage the logistics of student recruitment, course registration, grade reporting, etc.
  • Managing, organizing, purchasing, and creating materials for each session of the course
  • Coordinating transportation to and from the universities
  • Supporting the Program Director and other staff in training the teaching team
  • Implementing monitoring and evaluation systems for capturing data and stories from program participants
  • Interfacing with program alumni to encourage maintaining contact with Think Unlimited, participating in on-campus Solutionaries clubs, and ongoing work on their solutions and projects

We are looking for someone who is eager to work independently, proactively, and creatively to not only implement, but also improve and develop our systems and procedures for program management.

This person must bring a high attention to detail, possess an unwavering commitment to excellence, be able to feed energy and enthusiasm to the facilitators, and work well in a support capacity.  We need someone who is flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where creativity, collaboration, initiative, some unpredictability, and an iterative approach are the norm.

This position also often requires reading, writing, and speaking in Arabic as well as Arabic-to-English and English-to-Arabic written translation.

If you meet these qualifications and would like to join us in our transformative work, we want to hear from you!
